   Scholarships

 Scholarships are offered to the various categories of students covering approximately 80% of total students by Government of Telagnana, Tealgana  State Minorities Finance corporation Ltd. and Labour Department (for the children of Beedi Workers).....

Government of Telangana State:

The government of Telangana is providing financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Disabled and Economically Backward Class students studying Post-Matriculation courses on saturation approach to enable them to complete their education.

Who are eligible:

  • Students who belong to the categories of SC (including BC-C), ST, BC, EBC and DW(Disabled) having annual parental income of Rupees one lakh or below.
  • Students whose attendance is 75% at the end of each quarter.
  • Students have to apply for scholarship on-line within one month from the date of admission.
  • The Principal should verify the application of the students and forward it to the concerned officer.
  • ASWO/Field Officer has to do physical verification of the students and documents twice in a year.
  • Eligible students will be supplied ez pay ATM Cards and their scholarship will be directly credited to their accounts from time to time.
  • Based on the courses, all the post-metric students are divided into 4 groups and each group is given a fixed amount.  The Degree College students are categorized as group – III and they are eligible for scholarship as given under:-
    • RTF:-  Reimbursement of Tuition Fee -  Full tuition fee paid to the college will be reimbursed to the student.  RTF is sanctioned twice in a year i.e. in September and March.
    • MTF:-  Maintenance charges or Mess Charges are sanctioned every month as per the rates mentioned below.

How to apply for Scholarship:

 

State government has issued orders for registration of colleges and students in e-pass system to enable process the data of colleges and students for sanction of scholarships to apply online on the e-pass website.  

 

 State Special Chief Secretary Ajay Misra, in a press release on Friday, said that with the commencement of the academic year 2017-18, the admission process in various courses has started. 

 

 The e-Pass website for online registration of colleges and students for sanction and renewal and fresh Post Metric Scholarships for the Academic Year 2017-18 would be opened. 

 

All the students who wish to apply for new scholarships and those willing to renew their scholarships are asked to visit the e-Pass website at http://epass.cgg.gov.in and upload their details.  

 

 

Further, all the regulatory authorities, colleges and managements must ensure that all colleges and students who wish to register in e-pass will upload their data from June 20 to August 30, 2017 for sanction of fresh scholarships and renewal of scholarships for the academic year 2017-18, Ajay Misra said

How much scholarship a student gets:

v  College Attached Hostel:-  Rs. 520/- per month.

v  Students Managed Hostel:- Rs. 325/- per month.

v  Day Scholars:- Rs. 240/- per month.

 Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation Ltd.

            TSSMFC sanctions Post Metric scholarships to the economically Backward Minority students whose parents /guardians income doesn’t exceed Rs. One lakh per annum.  The students have to apply on-line to the APSMFC.  The scholarship amount will be as per the following rates.

  • Student Managed Hostel: Rs. 250/- per month for 10 months.
  • College Managed Hostel: Rs. 400/- per month for 10 months.
  • No Scholarship will be sanctioned to the Day Scholars (whose residence is 5 kms below from the institution.)
  • Fee Reimbursement will be sanctioned to all the eligible students irrespective of distance.
  • 75% of attendance is essential eligibility.

Telangan Labour Department:

            Telangana Labour Department Sanctions Scholarships to the children of Beedi workers through A.P. Labour Welfare Fund.
